The first leaf falls —
a clearing where
I can rest.
With the last new moon I bled, and I allowed myself a couple of days to really rest after a very full month. It was so lovely to soften into my nest here at home, to feel gratitude for having a safe space where I can truly land. I am surrounded by objects, art, and plants that call me back to myself through their beauty.
For us women, it feels so important to cultivate beauty and to live in a healthy relationship with it—one that is beyond vanity. Beauty, in its deeper sense, is remembrance. As female-bodied beings, we are close to the feminine essence of nature and matter. We are fed and nurtured by the beauty we create, by the care we give, by inviting ourselves home through these small daily acts.
When we do this, we weave a field of beauty and spaciousness, not only for ourselves but also for our loved ones. Yet the foundation of this field is always within us. We are the landing place. We are the field.
I wish for you to explore these practices in your own way, to use them as doorways for cultivating your own inner garden. And if you feel called to go deeper, my online course Radical Care offers guidance in tending to the garden of soul and presence in everyday life. It is currently 30% off until the 6th of September with code FEELING30.
