Drawing Into Presence is a meditative, artful journey into the heart of being. Through nine modules, you’ll explore drawing and painting not as performance or product—but as sacred attention, as a way of being with yourself and the world.

DRAWING INTO PRESENCE

Each module weaves together guided meditation, intuitive movement, personal storytelling, and creative exploration. You’ll draw from life and from memory, work with shadow and transformation, and attune to the quiet presence of flowers, landscapes, and your own inner gaze.

Whether you are new to drawing or returning after time away, this course invites you into a deeper kind of seeing—where line, color, and gesture become languages of truth, feeling, and wonder.

Practices include:

  • Self-portrait through energy and sensation

  • Drawing in nature and from memory

  • Shadow work through collage and transformation

  • Flower as teacher of impermanence and presence

  • Somatic meditations and art rituals to awaken the body

  • Simple, soulful materials: pencil, charcoal, watercolor, scissors, glue

This is a space for slowing down. For reclaiming your own rhythms of expression. For remembering the joy of creation without judgment.

This summer, I’ll be opening a new course—a nine-part journey into the meeting place between drawing, painting, and meditation. A practice not of perfect lines, but of presence. Not of mastering technique, but of opening a door to wonder, self-awareness, and the tender language of the soul.

This is an offering for those who long to see more clearly—both the world and themselves. We will begin with the still life, not as an exercise in realism, but as a way of feeling. We will turn inward through self-portrait and portrait work, touching the essence of being. We will explore nature, movement, the dance of the feminine and masculine, and the tides of creativity themselves.

Each module will be accompanied by a guided meditation and space to reflect. This is not just a course in art—it is an invitation to weave consciousness through creativity. To draw what is seen, and also what is sensed. To birth beauty from the soul into the visible world.

Rooted in the philosophy of The Well’s Weaving and my healing practice, this course will be a homecoming for the sensitive, the seekers, the visionaries.

Q & A

Do I need to be “good at art” to join this course?
Not at all. This course is about process, not perfection. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to explore.

What materials will I need?
A simple kit of pencils, charcoal, watercolor paints, scissors, glue, and paper is enough. A full list of suggested materials will be sent upon registration.

How much time should I set aside each week?
Each module can be explored in 1–2 hours per week, though you may find yourself returning to practices again and again.

Is this course live or self-paced?
The course is self-paced.

Is this part of The Well’s Weaving or separate?
Drawing Into Presence is woven from the same threads as The Well’s Weaving. If you’re part of the Magnolia Library, you’ll find familiar elements—somatic presence, sacred creativity, seasonal rhythm—but this course offers a deeper, more focused journey into visual art as spiritual practice.
