This painting is part of a vast series of oil and watercolor paintings made during the pandemic that explored themes of embodiment, heaviness, home, matter, soil and power.

During this time the artist was living and working from her forest studio that she built in the garden of her home on the most southern coastal tip of Sweden. It was an healing time of solitude and deep reconnection with spirit, nature and her own ancestral roots.
